Welcome to Three Men's Morris

About the Game

Three Men's Morris is an ancient strategy game, part of the Morris family that also includes Six and Nine Men's Morris. Evidence of the game has been found dating back to 1400 BCE, making it one of the oldest board games in the world.

Game Rules

  1. The Board: Played on a 3x3 grid with 9 points, connected by horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines.
  2. The Pieces: Each player gets 3 pieces of their color (White or Black).
  3. Placing Phase: Players take turns placing their pieces on empty points on the board, one piece per turn.
  4. Moving Phase: After all six pieces have been placed, the moving phase begins. A turn consists of moving one piece along a line to an adjacent empty point.
  5. Winning: The goal is to be the first to align your three pieces in a straight line (a "mill"). You can win during either the placing or moving phase.
